Service Dog Teams

These service dogs have been placed with their handlers and are working out in the community.

Training and placing the dog is just the start of the team's relationship with Hope Heels. We provide regular aftercare and support services for the entire life of the service dog team.

Hope Heels places these service dogs with deserving first responders and veterans, regardless if the training costs of the dog have been paid for. So if you wish to support our work training, placing and supporting service dogs like these ones, please consider donating to support their training.

Eliza was very generously donated to Hope Heels by the Guide Dog Foundation in the United States as a guide dog in training who needed a career change. She has excelled in her training as a PTSD service dog and has been placed with a first responder in Edmonton, Alberta.

Zakk is a sweet boy who is paired with a first responder.
Zakk had an epic training road trip with our adult service dog trainer to New York, Toronto and Philly!

Zakk was donated to Hope Heels by Joelle Arsenault and family.

Lance, full name Lestweforget Operation Lance, is a smooth collie that was born on June 14, 2012 and donated to Hope Heels Service Dogs by Lest We Forget Kennels from their Peacekeeping 1 litter. In July of 2013 he was placed with his handler, as a PTSD Service Dog and has given her the freedom to be able to participate in the world again.
